Six Palestinians were martyred and several others were injured on Sunday due to Israeli airstrikes and artillery attacks on Jabalia, Rafah, and Al-Zawaida in the northern Gaza Strip, coinciding with a military incursion into eastern Jabalia camp that has trapped dozens of families. Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces advanced into eastern Jabalia, north of the enclave, surrounding families in their homes and in schools designated for sheltering displaced families, according Palestinian news agency (WAFA). Simultaneously, artillery shells targeted residential areas in Jabalia, causing widespread panic and destruction. Drones were also deployed, firing upon civilian homes in Jabalia, contributing to the rising toll of casualties. Among the deceased is journalist Hassan Hamad, who was killed when his home was struck during the bombardment. The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 2023 has so far resulted in 41,825 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 96,910 individuals sustaining injuries, the majority of whom are women and children.
