Ankara, Wildfire in Izmir state west of Turkiye injured 78 people with 29 injured people being treated in hospitals. A wildfire broke out in the Mount Yamanlar area in Izmir last Tuesday. Turkish authorities largely brought it under control on Thursday, but it reignited and spread rapidly due to winds reaching speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour. In a statement today, Turkish Ministry of Health reported that it had dispatched 10 ambulance vehicles and 3 teams from the National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE), alongside 42 healthcare personnel to the fire zone. Turkish Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ebrahim Yumakli said firefighters were working to contain four separate wildfires in Turkiye and managed to contain one of them and partially control another. Three fires broke out earlier this week in northwestern Turkiye, in the region of Egeabat in Canakkale Province, the area of Goynuk in Bolu Province, and the region of Gordes in Manisa Province.
