Bethlehem - Ma'an - This afternoon, a 12-year-old child was killed in a traffic accident while riding a bicycle in the city of Beit Sahour, Bethlehem Governorate. Colonel Louay Irziqat, the police media spokesman, stated that based on a report received from the Police Directorate's operations room regarding a traffic accident in the center of the city of Beit Sahour, accident officers from the Traffic Branch and ambulance crews immediately moved to the scene to inspect the accident. Irziqat added that the accident resulted from a bicycle the child was riding colliding with a wall after he lost control of his bicycle on a steep road, which caused his injury. He was taken to the hospital to receive treatment and the doctors announced his death. Irziqat confirmed that the Public Prosecution has been informed and the traffic police have initiated an investigation into the accident until all legal procedures are completed.
