Al-Natsheh: The General Assembly’s decision is the result of a difficult political struggle waged by the Palestinian leadership

Jerusalem - Ma'an - Major General Bilal al-Natsheh, Secretary-General of the Popular National Conference for Jerusalem, considered the UN General Assembly's decision, by a large majority, demanding that Israel end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories within a period not exceeding 12 months, as a historic decision and an inevitable result of the arduous political struggle that the Palestinian leadership has been waging for years in the corridors of the United Nations and in all international forums, in conjunction with the legendary steadfastness of our people in the face of the Israeli war machine and aggression. Al-Natsheh said in a press statement issued by his office today, Thursday: This unprecedented decision constitutes another political victory added to the series of achievements made by the leadership of the Palestinian people, which works day and night to motivate the international community to support the Palestinian cause and isolate Israel in the international community as the owner of the longest and last occupation in modern history. Al-Natsheh pointed out that this important decision is an intense expression of the international community's rejection of the continued occupation of the Palestinian territories and our people who are struggling in all forums and arenas to obtain their legitimate rights and establish their independent state with full sovereignty on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Al-Natsheh stressed the importance of the positions of the countries that voted in favor of the Palestinian right and called on them to take urgent measures to compel Israel to implement the aforementioned resolution, which was based on international law and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which previously and subsequently confirmed the illegitimacy of the occupation of Palestine, its land and its people. Finally, Al-Natsheh stressed the importance of concerted Palestinian efforts, achieving national unity, and supporting t he legitimate Palestinian leadership to achieve more accomplishments and gains that give our people hope for freedom and emancipation from the occupation and the establishment of their independent state on their national soil.
