He made the remarks via zoom during the inauguration of the African Peace and Security Council (PSC) summit - under Yoweri Museveni, the Ugandan President - on the latest developments in Sudan. Abul Gheit underlined the importance of implementing Jeddah agreements, restoring the peaceful track for settling the Sudanese crisis, and launching the Sudanese dialogue under the Sudanese leadership, Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. He also called for implementing United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2736 adopted on June 13 demanding that Sudan's paramilitary force halt its siege of El Fasher.
