‘Aman’ Provides Hotline Service in 8 Languages During 2022 World Cup

The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre “AMAN” announced the addition of 6 foreign languages to the current available languages in the hotline service (919), which it provides around the clock to protect women and children from violence during the months of November and December, coinciding with the country's hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Abdulaziz Al Ishaq, Executive Director of AMAN, revealed that the call center and hotline will include 6 additional languages: French, Portuguese, Spanish, Urdu (the most common language in Southwest Asia such as India, Pakistan and Iran) and Tagalo (the official language in the Philippines and is spoken by peoples in other countries around the world), Mandarin (the official language in the People’s Republic of China and is spoken in Taiwan as well as in Singapore, besides containing a large number of dialects and being widely used in north and southwest China), in addition to Arabic and English. He pointed out to the keenness of AMAN to activate this service, which is a very important step for the Centre's Communication Department and Hotline.
