Tokyo, Ahmed Al Doseri, Bahraini Ambassador to Japan, participated in the "Peace Memorial Ceremony" organised to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the atomic bombing of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. The ceremony was attended by Fumio Kishida, the Prime Minister; the Governors and Mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and a number of senior Japanese officials. The ambassador laid a wreath at the Peace Memorial in Hiroshima, accompanied by the Ambassador of Morocco and the Ambassador of New Zealand, on behalf of the diplomatic corps accredited to Japan. The ceremony was attended by about 50,000 people, including some survivors of the nuclear bomb and families of the victims, in addition to members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of international organisations.
