Apple said that it intends to support spare parts manufactured by third parties for use in repairs, including screens, batteries and others. The company published a whitepaper entitled "Longevity by Design" explaining its strategy to manufacture longer-lasting products and providing an exceptional long-term user experience. The paper highlights the efforts of various sections within Apple to ensure the repairability and durability of their products, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security and privacy. According to The Verge website, True Tone, the feature that adjusts an iPhone display's white balance to better match your environment, has typically been disabled whenever a third-party replacement screen is detected by iOS. But soon, Apple will allow customers to enable True Tone "to the best performance that can be provided.' Later this year, Apple is expected to display data for third-party batteries with notice that it cannot verify their authenticity. Source: Qatar News Agency
