Buenos Aires, Argentine President Javier Milei accepted Monday the resignation of cabinet chief Nicolas Posse. Current Interior Minister Guillermo Francos will succeed Posse, the Argentine presidential office said in a statement. The resignation of the Argentine cabinet chief comes amid pressure over the major economic reforms proposed by the government, including plans to privatize state companies, along with other austerity measures aimed at reversing a prolonged economic crisis marked by inflation. Posse, a 58-year-old industrial engineer, has served as chief of the Cabinet of Ministers since Dec. 10, 2023, when Argentine President Javier Milei took office. Source: Qatar News Agency
