Beijing, Asus has unveiled a 2-in-1 laptop based on the AI-enabled Snapdragon X series Platform. The upcoming Asus ProArt Z13 is a 13.3 inch tablet with a 3K OLED display, a detachable magnetic keyboard, and optional support for an Asus Stylus 2.0 digital pen. Asus says the ProArt Z13 will be available in the second half of 2024. It will have a 16:10 aspect ratio display with up to 500 nits brightness, and its a Pantone-validated display with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It will be a compact device that measures just 9mm (0.35 inches) thick and weighs just 850 grams (1.87 pounds) without the keyboard. But it should also be a pretty powerful computer with a Snapdragon X series processor featuring an NPU capable of 45 TOPS of AI performance and a fan for active cooling, allowing the system to be configured to a 20 watt TDP. The Asus ProArt Z13 features 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and supports up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage. Theres a 70 Wh battery inside the case, and two full-function, 40 Gbps USB4 Type-C ports on the sides, along with an SD Express 7.0 card reader with support for data transfer speeds up to 312MB/s. The tablet also supports WiFi 7 and features a 13MP rear camera and 5MP IR camera on the front, with support for Windows Hello-compatible face recognition. Its IP52 rated for splash resistance.
