Bahrain Ambassador to Saudi Arabia highlights Takamul Programme’s role in strengthening Bahrain-Saudi Arabia relations

Riyadh, Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia, emphasised the historical Bahraini-Saudi relations and advanced cooperation in various sectors, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The ambassador said that the Local Value Programme in Industry (Takamul) ensures Bahraini products receive the same treatment as Saudi products in local government procurement within Saudi Arabia. Saudi establishments can include their products in the programme, which aims to enhance the preference for local products in government procurement and improve the reciprocal "In-Country Value" (ICV) of industrial products. The initiative reinforces the outcomes of the third meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Sa ud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman highlighted the programme's objectives to foster integration and growth for both countries, enhance the local value of industrial products, and improve supply chain efficiency. The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation across various sectors, including industrial, commercial, and economic, thereby contributing to the prosperity of both countries. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce in Bahrain has announced the completion of the necessary procedures to open registration for Saudi enterprises wishing to register their products in the Local Value Programme in Industry (Takamul).
