Bahrain begins Paris 2024 Olympic with Swimming Competitions

Paris, The Kingdom of Bahrain will begin its participation in the Paris Olympics tomorrow in the backstroke swimming qualifiers. Swimmer Amani Al Obaidli will compete in the 100m backstroke qualification at 11 am (12:00 BST) at the Paris La Défense Arena. Al Obaidli Al Obaidli, who made her international debut at the Arab Games in Algeria in 2023, has quickly established herself as a formidable competitor. At the Arab Games, she clinched silver in both the 100m backstroke (1:05.06) and the 50m backstroke (29.64 seconds). Additionally, she secured bronze medals in the 200m backstroke (2:25.16) and the 50m freestyle (26.79 seconds) at the Gulf Youth Games in the UAE last April. Amani aims to surpass her personal best of 1:04.76, which she set at the Hancock Championships in Australia, as she competes in her first Olympic Games. Expressing her readiness for the 100m backstroke qualifiers, Amani said she was eager to showcase her talents on the Olympic stage.
