Bahrain, Germany hold 7th political consultations meeting

Berlin, The seventh round of political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Germany, was held today in Berling. The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, and Dr. Thomas Bagger, the State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. The undersecretary said that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain was keen to further develop the historical partnership with Germany across various domains. The two sides reviewed the latest regional and international developments and efforts aimed at implementing a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, protecting civilians, delivering humanitarian aid, and prospects for international cooperation and partnership in consolidating security, stability, and peace in the region and the world. Dr. Shaikh Abdul lah bin Ahmed highlighted the outcomes of the 33rd Arab Summit held in Bahrain which adopted Majesty the King's initiatives calling for an international conference aimed at establishing an independent Palestinian state, and providing humanitarian aid to those affected by conflicts in the world. For his part, Dr. Bagger expressed Germany's appreciation for the strong political and economic partnership with Bahrain.
