Jakarta, Four Bahraini judges took part in an advanced training course at the Judicial Training Centre in Indonesia, jointly organised by the Supreme Court of Indonesia and the Supreme Court of Singapore. The course was attended by 62 judges from various countries. The seminar, led by senior judges, covered emerging topics such as the relationship between modern technology and the law, including blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and e-commerce. Workshops focused on artificial intelligence, privacy, and the use of technology in courtrooms, emphasising its role in improving achieving justice. Other key topics included international arbitration, UNCITRAL law and the New York Convention, judicial trends in arbitration rulings, and issues related to conflicts of interest among arbitrators and the importance of disclosure. The course also addressed cross-border bankruptcy, ship arrest procedures and related issues in Asia, as well as intellectual property concerning trademarks. Source: Bahrain News Ag ency
