Doha, Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, received here today Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Foreign Affairs Minister, who is on a visit to Qatar, as part of a tour that has covered several Arab countries. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman and Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani discussed the solid fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples, as well as ways to bolster bilateral cooperation across various fields to serve common interests and goals. The two sides also discussed efforts to enhance joint Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) action for the benefit of GCC countries and peoples. They also reviewed the current regional developments and the war on the Gaza Strip, in addition to efforts to stop the war, protect civilians, release hostages and detainees, as well as ways to ensure unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the civilian population and endeavours to establish peace, security and stability across the region. The ongoin g preparations for the 33rd Arab Summit, set to be hosted by Bahrain on May 16, and the issues and topics to be included in the agenda of the pan-Arab Summit were also discussed.
