Manama, A parliamentary delegation, led by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, will be visiting the Federative Republic of Brazil at the invitation of Arthur Lira, President of the Chamber of Deputies. The visit aims to highlight Bahrain's achievements in all fields in light of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The visit also aims to activate the role of parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries, enhance bilateral cooperation, support international efforts in consolidating the values and principles of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, and coordinate positions to achieve peace in the region. It will also target mobilising support to expedite the convention of the international peace conference to support the rights of the Palestinian people by establishing an independent state, ending the war on th e Gaza Strip, and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid. The parliamentary delegation will hold a series of meetings with the President of the Chamber of Deputies in Brazil and the Joint Friendship Committee. The meetings will discuss means to coordinate positions in parliamentary forums, discuss international developments, and activate the parliamentary role in advancing sustainable development.
