Manamam, Bapco Refining has confirmed that the operations to address the leakage in one of its Naphtha tanks in the Sitra area are nearing completion. Bapco Refining, in collaboration with the relevant authorities, is managing the situation in line with the highest safety and security protocols. It is important to note that odours emitted during such incidents can fluctuate due to weather conditions, particularly influenced by the direction of the wind, and may persist for several days, a Bapco Refining statement said. Bapco Refining commended the efforts of the national cadres for their cooperation and response in controlling the leak, emphasising that emergency teams are ready to deal with any emergency if necessary. The company also emphasised the importance of obtaining information from the relevant official sources. It is worth mentioning that the leak was caused by a limited technical issue resulting from the unprecedented weather conditions and rainfall levels experienced by Bahrain recently.
