Nablus-Ma'an- Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Amjad Barham conducted an inspection tour of Burin Secondary School in the South Nablus Education Department to follow up on the progress of the high school exams, in light of the difficult circumstances and obstacles placed by the occupation in the way of education, and at a time when tens of thousands of high school students in the Gaza Strip have been prevented from taking exams due to the occupation's barbaric aggression on the Strip. The minister was accompanied on his tour by the Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Nafeh Assaf, the Assistant Undersecretary for Student Affairs Sadiq Al-Khudour, the Director General of the South Nablus Education Department Samer Al-Jamal, and representatives of the educational family, national figures, and community, civil and local figures. The minister then visited Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas, where they learned about the reality of the challenges facing the governorate as a result of the attacks of the o ccupation and settlers, and emphasized the role of education as a pillar for supporting the Palestinian state and protecting the comprehensive national identity, and confronting the occupation's attempts aimed at burning awareness and making our people ignorant. In a related context, Barham met, at the governorate building, with the directors of Nablus Education schools; In the presence of Governor Douglas, Undersecretary Assaf, Al-Khudour, Director General of Education Ahmed Sawalha, and Director of School Administrations Naim Abu Hamdeh; to discuss the difficulties facing the educational process, and listen to their demands and vision for developing education, addressing a number of issues that hinder the educational process and ways to overcome them, with a focus on improving the quality of education and providing the necessary resources for schools. The Minister stressed the need to continue working on developing education, despite the many obstacles facing the educational process, especially in areas e xposed to repeated attacks by settlers and the occupation army, stressing the importance of providing a safe and stable educational environment for students in these areas to ensure the continuation of their education without interruption. Barham pointed to the difficulties facing the people of the Gaza Strip, who were deprived of taking exams due to the ongoing aggression on the Strip, calling on all human rights and international institutions to join efforts with the Ministry; to provide the appropriate atmosphere for them to take exams as soon as possible. The Minister praised the efforts of all the teams working to make this exam a success, stressing the importance of the national and pioneering role played by teachers and administrators in many educational, cognitive and value-based fields, calling on all partner parties to intensify their efforts to protect education in Palestine and work to overcome the current challenges to ensure a better future for our students. In turn, Douglas stressed that edu cation represents a strategy for life, survival and confrontation for Palestinians, especially in light of the ongoing attack on our people and our national and educational institutions, appreciating the efforts made by the Ministry of Education, its leadership and the educational family throughout the country and their adherence to science and learning and providing the emerging generations with national and human values ??and benefiting from experiences and expertise and localizing them to serve education and establish the features of the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
