Manama, Lieutenant General Dr. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, received a generous donation from the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS). The donation was presented by Mubarak Al Hadi, the Society's Secretary General. Dr. Maryam Al Hajri, Vice President of the Bahrain Diabetes Society, and Mohammed Mashakhil, Administrative Controller of the Red Crescent Society, were present. This contribution is part of a collaborative effort between the Bahrain Red Crescent Society and the Bahrain Diabetes Society aimed at supporting children with diabetes across the Kingdom of Bahrain. It reflects the ongoing commitment of both organizations to alleviating the financial burdens faced by families of diabetic children and ensuring they receive the essential healthcare they need. The initiative will support ten children with diabetes for an entire year by providing glucose sensors for continuous blood sugar monitoring. This intervention is designed to enhance their qual ity of life, achieve better health outcomes, and mitigate the risk of complications such as cardiovascular issues and kidney disease. This partnership underscores the commitment of both societies to social and humanitarian responsibility, emphasizing the importance of supporting all community segments, particularly children with chronic conditions.
