Manama, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received the 49th BDF Hajj delegation on its departure to Makkah. Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al Noaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, was present. The Commander-in-Chief conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, wishing them a safe trip. He said that the annual Hajj delegation, supported by HM the King, came in recognition of their efforts in serving the Kingdom. The Commander-in-Chief recalled the sacrifices of the fallen servicemen, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
