Cultural Hall’s concert to pay tribute to Italian munician

The Cultural Hall will tomorrow hold a tribute concert to Italian musician, Ennio Morricone, one of the greatest music composers of the 20th century, which is the first music evening of the 32nd edition of the Bahrain International Music Festival.

The concert will be held in cooperation between the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) and the Italian Embassy to Bahrain. The renowned quintet group, who had collaborated with Morricone for more than two decades, will perform unforgettable compositions from classic American Western films like "Once Upon a Time in the West", "A Fistful of Dollars", and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". They will also showcase music from Morricone's acclaimed works like "The Mission" and "Cinema Paradiso".

Ennio Morricone, the talented Italian musician and composer, is widely recognised for his remarkable contributions to the world of film scoring. With an impressive portfolio of over 500 film and television projects, Morricone's genius has left an indelible mark on the industry. He has received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award for his exceptional work on "The Hateful Eight". With more than 70 million albums sold worldwide, Morricone's music continues to captivate audiences of all ages.

The Bahrain International Music Festival 2023 will run until October 20, hosting musical evenings and concerts at the Cultural Hall and the Qala'at Al-Bahrain Site Museum.

The Italian, Indian, Chinese and German embassies will contribute to the festival.
