Manama, The Customs Affairs has completed a training programme for users of the Customs Single Window (OFOQ2) system, including competent authorities and customs clearance offices. The training was conducted by Customs Affairs trainers with the participation of specialists from various customs directorates. The programme aimed to familiarise system users with its features and equip them with the necessary skills to perform their roles in the new electronic system effectively. This initiative aligns with the Customs Affairs' continuous efforts to achieve sustainable development goals that contribute to economic growth, foster partnerships with the public and private sectors, and establish a resilient infrastructure through the provision of information and communications technology. The Customs Affairs has implemented the advanced stage of the Customs Single Window (OFOQ2), an electronic portal that serves customs work and related government operations. The system aims to facilitate legitimate trade, enhance electronic integration, and enable the exchange of information, positioning the Kingdom of Bahrain as a leading customs and logistics hub. The project enhances digital customs transactions, electronic integration, and data exchange among public electronic systems within customs. It includes all relevant electronic services and enables partner regulatory authorities to perform their tasks and monitor their performance indicators electronically. The system reduces paper transactions and diversifies service provision methods, aligning with the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain's efforts to reduce expenses and increase productivity.
