Death Toll Rises to 36 as IOF Bomb School Sheltering Displaced People in Gaza

The death toll has risen to 36 after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) bombed a school housing displaced people in Deir Al Balah, central Gaza Strip, on Saturday. According to a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the victims of the bombing of Khadija School, which shelters thousands of displaced persons west of Deir Al Balah, include children and women. Over 100 people were injured, with many in critical condition. The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that emergency and civil defense teams are still retrieving victims from the rubble, suggesting the death toll could increase. The injured have been transported to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which is now overcrowded with casualties. The previous death toll was reported at 30. In addition to the school bombing, the occupation forces continued their bombardment across the Gaza Strip. Four Palestinians were killed and others injured in an airstrike on a group of people on Baraka Street, south of Deir Al Balah. In Nuseirat, central Gaza, an I sraeli drone targeted a car north of the camp, killing two Palestinians and wounding several others. In Rafah, south of the Strip, an airstrike on a house near the Musbah area killed two and injured several others. In Khan Yunis, artillery shelling targeted the Sheikh Nasser and Bani Suheila neighborhoods in the east and areas around Street 5 and the Katiba area in the north. The occupation forces also demolished a residential block in northern Rafah and carried out an airstrike in the Mirage area. Several Palestinians were injured in another airstrike on a house in northern Rafah. Health authorities in Gaza announced today that the total number of casualties from the Israeli aggression since October 7 has reached 39,258 dead and 90,589 injured.
