The Department of Information Technology at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a seminar on "Cybersecurity and The Significance of Deterrence According to International Law". The event was attended by HE Director of Information Technology Abdulaziz Mohammed Jabor Al-Naemi, The lecture was given by the Director in charge of Cyber Security at Asperiq: Scalable Security Solutions for Governments Kah-Ken.
During the seminar, Kah-Ken said that there are vital components through which communication is conducted among the international communities, countries' individuals and peoples, who largely became vulnerable to the risk of hacking due to different opinions, causes and impulses, pointing out to the significance of information technology and the importance of protecting it, in addition to solidifying the legal deterrence techniques to safeguard its security.
During the seminar that attracted a number of diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and legal professionals from multi-faceted disciplines, he emphasized the importance of synergetic efforts of the countries and international organizations to effectively participate in upgrading the legal deterrence techniques that would primarily limit the impending risks and dangers through utilizing of multiple technological means and infrastructures in countries, indicating that cyber attacks remained a deadly weapon which not less detrimental than military strikes.
For his part, HE Director of Information Technology Abdulaziz Mohammed Jabor Al-Naemi emphasized the significance of cybersecurity to be essentially protected by multiple legal deterrent means, pointing out to the importance of UN international organizations crucial role in safeguarding countries and peoples rights, including the prominent role played by the state of Qatar in these organizations.
