Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa today received outgoing Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Piyush Shrivastav, and commended his efforts to support bilateral relations and expand cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed Bahrain's strides, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
"The Kingdom has always been throughout its history an oasis of pace and a beacon of liberties, tolerance and diversity", he said.
He praised longstanding relations and strategic cooperation between the two countries, stressed shared commitment to develop invetsments.
The Indian Ambassador expressed thanks and gratitude for the support he had found in Bahrain during his tenure, stressing the importance of continuing efforts to expand partnership, especially in the setors of trade, technology, information technology and food security.
