Doha: HE Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, expressed his country's support for the State of Qatar's important and effective role in preventing all forms of escalation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and avoiding an expansion of the regional conflict. In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he said that he spoke with HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani over the phone about the situation in the Gaza Strip. He wrote: "I expressed my strong support for the key role Qatar is playing in the efforts to help resolve this horrific conflict. There must be a ceasefire as soon as possible, followed by a lasting resolution. "It is necessary for far more humanitarian aid to be allowed into Gaza and for the hostages be released.
