Manama, Bahrain will celebrate the first day of Eid Al Fitr on Wednesday, corresponding to April 10, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) announced. The moon-sighting panel, which comprised scholars Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al Qattan, Dr. Shaikh Fareed Yacoub Al Meftah, Dr. Shaikh Ibrahim Al Muraikhi and Shaikh Rashid bin Hassan Al Buainain, convened on Monday evening, the 29th of Ramadhan, 1445 AH, corresponding to April 8, 2024, to receive reports and testimonies regarding the sighting of the Shawwal moon. The SCIA extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as the Royal Family, the people of Bahrain and the Islamic World on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
