Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abiad has revealed that eight people were killed and 2,000 others injured Tuesday, in a statistic that is not yet final, as a result of the explosion of a number of pagers in several Lebanese regions, in what the Lebanese Foreign Ministry described as an Israeli cyber attack on Lebanon. The Lebanese Health Minister said in a press conference Tuesday to talk about the explosions, that the condition of 200 of the injured is critical. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that most hospitals in the south of the country, the Bekaa Valley, and the southern suburbs of Beirut are witnessing the transfer of injuries, while calls were made to citizens to donate blood to hospitals. The Public Health Emergency Operations Center affiliated with the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said in a statement said that large numbers of people with various injuries are flocking to Lebanese hospitals, and initial information indicates that the injuries are related to the explosion of wireles s devices that were in the possession of the injured.
