Italian club Roma announced on Wednesday evening the signing of German defender Mats Hummels on a free transfer. The Italian club said in an official statement that the German player participated in more than 600 matches in all competitions, and 78 matches with the German national team, winning 16 titles with the club and the national team, most notably the 2014 World Cup.
