Rabat, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Nasser Bourita, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates. The Foreign Affairs Minister has visited Morocco as part of a tour that covered several Arab countries. The meeting highlighted the historical Bahraini-Moroccan relations and means to enhance cooperation in various sectors, as part of the efforts of the High Bahrain-Morocco Joint Commission. The two sides reviewed the implementation of the agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries. They discussed the current regional situation and its impact on security and stability in the region, particularly the current situation in the Gaza Strip, efforts to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and ensure protection for civilians and providing humanitarian aid, in addition to regional efforts aimed at stopping the Israeli escalation in the city of Rafah. They discussed the preparations for the 33rd Arab Summit to be hosted by Bahrain on May 16, the summit's work programme, and the topics and issues scheduled to be included on the agenda.
