Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi spoke on the phone on Monday with Ireland's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense Michael Martin to discuss the latest regional developments, efforts of stopping the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian catastrophe resulting from the Israeli offensive. Al-Safadi underscored the importance of stepping up the efforts to stop the Israeli offensive in Gaza and the relentless Israeli violations of the international law and the international humanitarian law, in addition to ensuring protection for civilians and maintaining unhindered flow of adequate humanitarian assistance into the Strip. They also discussed the situation in southern Lebanon, with the Jordanian Foreign Minister stressing the importance of de-escalation and comporting with the UN Security Council resolution No. 1701.
