Ramallah - Ma'an - The head of the Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghoneim, confirmed that work is still ongoing to bring fuel into the Gaza Strip despite the major challenges facing the technical teams in the field, as we were able today and yesterday to bring in 23 thousand liters to operate water wells and a number of sewage stations. Minister Ghoneim explained that 12,800 liters of fuel were distributed yesterday, and work will continue today by distributing the remaining quantity of 10,200 liters, noting that through these quantities we were able to operate 26 water wells, one of which was completely out of order and work was done to repair it, as well as supplying 4 main sewage stations. Minister Ghoneim stressed that the situation in Gaza, as a result of water scarcity and the spread of sewage water between areas where citizens live, has become tragic and portends the disaster of the spread of more epidemics and diseases.
