Guterres: What happened in Lebanon is dangerous

New York, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed deep concern over the Israeli aggression of bombing wireless communication devices in Lebanon, which left twenty martyrs and hundreds wounded. Guterres stressed in a press statement published by the UN News Center that civilian objects and tools must not be used as weapons, adding this must be a rule that governments everywhere in the world abide by. Guterres considered what happened in Lebanon to be particularly dangerous, not only because of the number of victims it caused, but also because it threatens a serious risk of dramatic escalation in Lebanon, calling for doing everything we can to calm things down and avoid this escalation.
