Manama, Jalila Alawai Al Sayed Hassan, member of the Council of Representatives, has lauded the recent visit of Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, to the East Sitra housing project. During the visit, the first batch of the beneficiaries were presented with the keys of their housing units in the project, marking the commencement of the gradual operation of the residential town. The deputy premier also inaugurated the second phase of the project. She indicated that these steps and others, coinciding with the kingdom's celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne, will be followed by more achievements that will benefit the citizens in various fields, such housing, employment, among others. She asserted that the completion of the first phase of the East Sitra housing project, and the commencement of its second phase have filled the citizens' hearts with joy, as they add to the kingdom's gains in various fields, particul arly housing, within the comprehensive development process, led by HM the King, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The lawmaker commended the ongoing efforts exerted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to provide housing units for the citizens, paying tribute to all ministries that have coordinated in building the East Sitra town according to the highest standards, including the health, green spaces and facilities that have appealed to the beneficiaries. She also praised the involvement of Bahraini competencies in all the phases of the construction of the town. She stressed the need for continuous legislature-executive cooperation to achieve the interests of the citizens. The beneficiaries expressed delight at receiving the keys of their housing units at the East Sitra housing project during the kingdom's celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of HM's Accession to the Throne. They praised the kingdom's housing achievements over the past 25 years. The East Sitra housing project is an integrated town including all basic elements, such as housing units, green spaces, advanced road network and seafronts, in addition to special lanes for cycling and walking. It is worth noting that the distribution of the units of the first phase of the East Sitra housing units will continue until the end of May 2024.
