Manama, Based on the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, BOC announced the provision of a plane to transport Bahraini fans to support the Bahrain national handball team during the final of the Asian Men’s Handball Qualification Tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The initiative, supported by Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, is in line with HH Shaikh Khalid’s keenness to support the national handball team in their decisive Olympiad-qualifier match against Japan on Saturday and provide all necessary conditions for them to reach the Olympiad for the second time, after their participation in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
BOC expressed thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad to transport Bahraini supporters, and to Gulf Air for its cooperation.
