His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and Chairman of the Bahrain Combat Sport Council, sent two cables of congratulations to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Royal Endurance Team Captain, and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport First Deputy Chairman, GSA Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President and KHK Racing Captain, on the successful participation of their children in their first external endurance event through the 20 kilometre-long race which was held in Monpazier in France.
He asserted that the participation of the children of HH Shaikh Nasser and HH Shaikh Khalid in the external race is an opportunity for them to gain experience, which would enhance their capabilities in the endurance sport, and enable them to bring about more achievements to the kingdom in the near future.
HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed said that the move reflects the keenness of HH Shaikh Nasser and HH Shaikh Khalid to build an ambitious generation whose members are ready to brave challenges and carry on the successes of the endurance sport, which is one of the authentic Bahraini sports.
