HM King Congratulated by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister on Bahrain’s Olympic Success

Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, following Bahrain's outstanding achievement of winning four medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics. His Royal Highness expressed his sincere congratulations to His Majesty, highlighting the Kingdom's historic accomplishment of winning the gold medal and breaking the Olympic record in the women's 3000m steeplechase and the gold medal victory in the 97kg wrestling category. His Royal Highness noted that these achievements reflect the ambition and dedication of Bahrain's youth, as well as His Majesty's unwavering support for sports in the Kingdom. HRH Prince Salman emphasised that Bahrain's success at the Olympics is a testament to His Majesty's commitment to fostering sports excellence. He pledged that the government would continue to prioritise His Majesty's vision for the development of sports in the Kingdom. The contributions ofHi s Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), in advancing Bahraini sports were also acknowledged by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
