HM King directs to dispatch humanitarian relief aid to Libya

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued directives to dispatch urgent humanitarian relief aid to Libya following the floods that swept the northeastern region in Libya, which led to thousands of casualties, injured and missing people

HM King Hamad directed His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs to help provide the necessary assistance to victims of floods and torrents in Libya.

HH Shaikh Nasser expressed thanks and gratitude to HM the King, RHF Honorary Chairman, hailing continued royal humanitarian initiatives in support of disaster-stricken and needy people worldwide, in line with Bahrain's efforts to foster international solidarity.

HH Shaikh Nasser commended the Government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, hailing its support to the foundation led by HM King Hamad.

He reiterated Bahrain's unwavering solidarity with disaster-stricken countries and commitment to contribute to alleviating people's suffering, within strong relations with the State of Libya.

Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyed, RHF Secretary-General announced that the foundation would coordinate with relevant ministries to harness all efforts and dispatch urgent relief aid led by HM the King's directives with the support of HH Shaikh Nasser to unify the efforts and provide support to the victims in Libya.
