Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (58) of 2024, on restructuring the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), based on a proposal by the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet. Article I The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) shall be restructured as follows: The President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), overseeing: First: The Human and Financial Resources Directorate Second: The Cultural Properties and Projects Directorate Third: The Communication and Partnerships Directorate Fourth: The Director General of Antiquities, overseeing: 1- The Antiquities Directorate 2- The Archaeological Sites Directorate Fifth: The Director General of Culture and Museums, overseeing: 1- The Culture Directorate 2- The Museums Directorate Sixth: The Director General of Heritage, overseeing: 1. The National Heritage Directorate 2. The Handicrafts Directorate Article II Decree (15) of 2017 on restructuring t he Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) shall be repealed. Article III The Prime Minister shall implement this decree, which takes effect upon its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette. Source: Bahrain News Agency
