Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received General Michael Kurilla, Commander of the United States Central Command, at the Al Safriya Palace today. His Majesty welcomed General Kurilla and expressed Bahrain's pride in its long-standing historical ties and robust strategic partnership with the United States. His Majesty said those relations were built on decades of mutual respect and keenness to achieve common goals. His Majesty lauded the pivotal role of the United States in consolidating international peace and security, noting the efforts of General Kurilla in further developing the Bahraini-American defensive and security cooperation as allied countries.
