His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of HM the King; His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports; Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court; and Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, were present. The meeting discussed topics related to local affairs, particularly advancing the comprehensive development process. HM the King lauded the role of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in serving the nation and enhancing Bahrain's position and global competitiveness. HM the King praised HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister's efforts in developing government institutions, key sectors, and adopting modern initiatives and st rategies to serve national interests. HM the King commended the significant contributions of the people of Bahrain to the country's development, as well as their success in occupying leading positions in international organisations. His Majesty also noted their commitment and dedicated efforts to further bolster the Kingdom's status. HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, lauded the strong and historic relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, supported by HM the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. They emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation across all domains, and supporting initiatives and programmes that serve trade and industry, in light of bilateral agreements and initiatives and within the framework of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. On recent and rapid developments in the region, particularly in Gaza, HM the King emphasised the urgent need for intensive diplomatic efforts among all regional and international parties to achieve peace for all and to establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. His Majesty highlighted the importance of reducing tensions in the Middle East, avoiding military escalation, and enhancing Arab and international efforts to find fair, comprehensive, and sustainable peaceful solutions to the conflicts in the region. His Majesty renewed his call for expediting of the international peace conference to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of their national state.
