Manama, The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has developed and upgraded 28 housing services, focusing on streamlining procedures and transitioning to digital platforms. This includes 16 services in the housing sector, three in the engineering sector, and nine provided by Eskan Bank Bahrain. These efforts align with the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continuous follow up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, said that these developments have resulted in a 50% reduction in the required documentation and a complete shift to digital services. These improvements include the simplification of the Tas'heel finance service, reducing the required documents from 16 to seven, and streamlining the ownership transfer process from 13 documents to four. The ministry also introduced an online maintenance service for homeowners duri ng the warranty period, reducing response times from 10 to five days and fully digitising the process. Information on properties within the Muharraq City Development Plan is now available through a new service on the ministry's website. Al Rumaihi emphasised that these advancements are part of a wider effort to enhance 500 services across 24 government entities. She noted that these initiatives were implemented in coordination with the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communication (MCICT), chaired by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. Al Rumaihi noted that these developments are part of the government's digital transformation programme for 2023-2026 and were carried out in coordination with 10 government entities.
