Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Andrea Catalano, at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad affirmed the strength of the longstanding Bahrain-Italy relationship, multisectoral collaboration and strategic partnerships, noting the Kingdom's commitment to further bilateral cooperation to meet mutual aspirations. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad welcomed HE Catalano to the Kingdom and wished him success in performing his diplomatic duties. His Royal Highness noted the advanced levels of cooperation between the two countries and emphasised the importance of furthering the bilateral relations to meet the aspirations of their people. Regional and global developments and issues of common interest were also discussed. HE Catalano expressed his gratitude for His Royal Highness's commitment to furthering relations between the two countri es and wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting. Source : Bahrain News Agency
