The International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing's (IFFSR) board of directors approved the joining of Al-Gannas Qatari Society (AGQS) to its membership. The joining of AGQS to this membership underscores the AGQS's distinct privilege at all regional, domestic and global levels, as well as its extraordinary success and expertise in organizing contests and tournaments related to falconry racing. Also, many international organizations vouched for the privilege of AGQS in popular and traditional sports, along with those related to falcons and traditional falconry. AGQS may hold membership or enjoy membership in IFFSR board of directors. Director of AGQSs championships and chairman of the Marmi Festival Committees, Miteb Mubarak Al Qahtani, said this membership came based on an invitation from IFFSR to take part in the first edition hosted by the sisterly United Arab Emirates, which culminated in crowning AGQS with the first place. Thereafter, a request was sent to IFFSR to join its membership. Al Qa htani highlighted the key objective of joining IFFSR which is to share expertise and forge reproachment with clubs and associations, in addition to helping Qatari falconers internalize global experiences and forge unshakable relationships with other entities. Noteworthy, AGQS is one of the most preeminent societies that focuses on falconry racing in the region and has an agenda that abounds with falconry sport activities, thus constituting a qualitative addition to IFFSR career. The IFFSRs primary objectives are directed toward broadening the base of this sport and propagate its culture at multiple levels. The joining of AGQS to this membership came following the declaration of nine new bodies to follow suit last month. IFFSR is a non-governmental, non-profit sports entity with independent legal status. It is the only sports organization in the world permanently responsible for managing falconry sports and races. It was established on Dec. 14, 2022, and is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. And IFFSR mission is demonstrated in sustaining falconry sports globally through spreading their culture and heritage. in addition, its mission is intended to bolster the rules of practice at all levels by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and practices among practitioners of this sport in the countries of the world, protecting the environment, as well as the rights and safety of falcons in collaboration with all relevant national, regional and global bodies.
