Doha: In collaboration with the State Audit Bureau, the Ministry of Culture organized a lecture on the State Audit Bureau's role in safeguarding public funds for entities subject to financial reporting oversight. During the lecture, participants were introduced to the State Audit Bureau, its mandates, objectives, and the main types of oversight and monitoring it conducts, in addition to learning about financial violation examples and investigation methods implemented. The lecture highlighted key supervisory functions, including reviewing the state's final accounts and consolidated financial statements and examining budget execution results, including revenues, expenditures, and financial position elements. It also included auditing and examining final financial statements of public institutions and other entities subject to the State Audit Bureau's oversight, which prepares financial statements and data in accordance with the principles of commercial accounting.
