In protest against the murders – the strike sweeps Kafr Qara (photos)

Kafr Qara witnessed a general and comprehensive commitment to a general, comprehensive and open strike, today, Sunday, to protest the recent murders in the city.

The city announced the non-opening of the school year and a comprehensive and open strike during an emergency session held by the municipality and the Supreme Follow-up Committee with the participation of heads of Arab local authorities, yesterday evening, Saturday.

Educational, teaching and service institutions, public facilities, shops, and workers committed to a general and comprehensive strike, as the streets of Kafr Qara seemed almost empty due to the strike, contrary to their custom.

Today, Sunday, an emergency meeting is being held in the municipality of Kafr Qara of the Supreme Follow-up Committee for the Arab masses in the country, the National Committee for Heads of Arab Local Authorities, the People’s Committee, and the Authority of Imams of Mosques in Kafr Qara.

An atmosphere of anger and denunciation prevails in Kafr Qara following the killing of three people within hours, one of whom is from the city of Qalanswa, while the other two are a 14-year-old boy and the imam of a mosque from Kafr Qara.

The victims are the imam of the Quba Mosque in Kafr Qara, Sheikh Sami Abdel Latif Masri (60 years old), who was killed yesterday, Saturday, after being exposed to a shooting crime while leaving a funeral in the guest house in the city, in the courtyard of the Hawarna Mosque, and the young man Fouad Nasrallah from the city of Qalansawa, and the boy. Muhammad Saeed Arbid, from Kafr Qara, were killed the day before yesterday, Friday, in a shooting crime near the Hawarna area in Kafr Qara
