Manama, The Industry and Commerce Ministry and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) held their 43rd joint economic committee meeting. The meeting was co-chaired by Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce and Samir bin Abdullah Nass, BCCI Chairman. Fakhro affirmed BCCI's role as an important and effective partner in promoting economic growth in Bahrain, as part of the comprehensive development process led the leadership of his Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the follow up of his Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The minister commended BCCI's efforts in raising the level of private sector contribution to the GDP and enhancing joint work between BCCI and the ministry. The BCCI Chairmain affirmed that the private sector is an integral part of the development process in the kingdom and that it contributes to sustainable economic growth. He emphasised the continuous partnership between the public and privat e sectors which have driven the accomplishment of notable achievements in the fields of commerce, investment, and industry, and reflected on the overall economic growth in Bahrain. He affirmed that the chamber would continue to strengthen the national economy to mitigate the effects of the current global economic developments. Nass expressed appreciation for the Industry Ministry's contributions and support for the private sector, expressing hope for further cooperation in the future to achieve the highest level of sustainable growth in all fields and sectors.
