Industry Ministry, BCCI introduce new enhancements to Sijili

Manama, The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in partnership with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), held an introductory meeting on the Virtual Commercial Registration (Sijili)'s latest enhancements. The meeting aimed at updating the business community on the latest enhancements to the system. These improvements are intended to further support the private sector and strengthen its role as a key driver of the national economy. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, highlighted that Sijili is designed to empower entrepreneurs and small businesses, contributing to economic growth. He emphasised the ministry's commitment to continuously refining the regulatory framework to create a more adaptable and business-friendly environment. The minister noted that Sijili aligns with the government's broader efforts to enhance Bahrain's business climate. He expressed his aspiration that the recent updates will make it easier for entrepreneurs and investors to launch and expand t heir ventures, thereby reinforcing Bahrain's position as a leading destination for investment and business in the region. Fakhro also underscored BCCI's role in contributing to the national economic development, adding that cooperation between the ministry and BCCI is the reason behind the success of such initiatives. Sameer Abdullah Nass, BCCI Chairman, affirmed the importance of public-private collaboration in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. He noted that the improvements to Sijili will not only boost the competitiveness of small businesses but also accelerate the pace of commercial and industrial activity, contributing to Bahrain's economic diversification. Nass emphasised the vital role of the private sector in shaping the Kingdom's economic future, underlining the importance of continued partnership with the government to achieve shared economic and social goals.
