Manama, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Interior Minister, received Commodore Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al Sabah, Kuwait's Director-General of Coast Guard. Major-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Deputy Chief of Public Security, attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed means to promote cooperation in maritime and develop joint work. The minister praised the solid deep-rooted Bahraini-Kuwaiti ties led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait. He highlighted the importance of joint efforts to promote cooperation, coordination, and the exchange of expertise between the coast guards of both countries to maintain maritime safety and security.
