IOF Arrests Over 30 Palestinian Civilians in West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a wide-scale campaign of raids and arrests in various areas across the West Bank today, during which they arrested at least 30 Palestinian civilians. Wafa news agency reported that the arrests took place across the West Bank's governorates of Salfit, Bethlehem, Al-Khalil and Ramallah, indicating that the IOF arrested the Palestinian civilians after having stormed their homes and destroyed their belongings. In Salfit, the IOF arrested many civilians after rough raids that included destruction of the victims' homes. In Bethlehem, the village of Husan and Wadi Fukin were subjected to a large-scale arrest campaign, where the IOF arrested 17 civilians, Wafa reported, adding that the victims were later released after hours of interrogation and beating, while three others were kept in detention. In Al-Khalil, the IOF arrested eight civilians from Al-Fawwar camp after raids and attacks on citizens, in addition to setting up observation points on the rooftops of several houses. In Ramallah, the IOF stormed the villages of Jifna and Al-Amari camp, where they detained two young men after raiding their homes. This escalation led to the suspension of studies in the region's schools to preserve the safety of students. These repeated arrests have raised widespread concern at the local and international levels, as calls are increasing to stop human rights violations committed against Palestinian civilians, amid demands for more international efforts to pressure the Israeli entity to abide by international laws and end the occupation of Palestinian territories.
